Do You Know Utah’s Dixie National Forest? You’ll Want to After This

Dixie is the biggest national forest in Utah, spanning 170 miles across the southern reaches of the state. What’s your fancy? Dramatic red and orange canyons? Dixie’s full of ’em. High alpine lakes? Dixie’s loaded. Fields of aspens, fluttering hypnotically in the breeze? Yep, you’ll find plenty of those in DNF too.

This short film is the newest from the Your Forests Your Future initiative, a program kickstarted by the US Forest Service to energize interest in public lands and to show people what’s out there, to inspire an interest in national parks and forests the public might not know much about.

All 155 national forests will eventually get their very own star turn in one of these mini-docs. For now, kick back and enjoy an aerial tour of the diverse terrain of southwest Utah.
